Re: Ben Johnson
Right back by trade but seems to be one of the modern breed that can play either side. Will be very useful for us next few years, especially if we can get Europa

Re: Ben Johnson
Really?

As far as I was aware, he's always been a left back.

Rossal 1:23 Mon Mar 1
Re: Ben Johnson
Yeah agree, but he isnt a left back......think he will battle it out with Coufal at RB. Left back he has just filled in. If we get Europe id start him either side in that campaign

Re: Ben Johnson
Rossal, no doubting how good he's been.

The fact remains due to his injuries in the past and his inexperience, we need another LB - to improve on what we have already.

Rossal 1:16 Mon Mar 1
Re: Ben Johnson
He's generally been superb most times he has played, and that includes against the big teams imo........everyone is due a stinker and he had his at the weekend. He has alot ot talent he will be fine

Re: Ben Johnson
Rossal, he's a kid - He shouldn't be thrown into games like that, in my opinion.

Aside from Cressewell, he's our only backup Whilst Cresswell has been excellent as well this season if we're to improve we need a better player.

To rely on Johnson as backup, in my opinion leaves us short, as mentioned he's still young and needs developing - The last thing we want to do is ruin his confidence.

I think he's an excellent prospect, but he needs nurturing.

Re: Ben Johnson
I wouldnt say we need another LB on the basis of 1 shit game

Altho id lob fredricks and arthur in the summer and get a starting LB in and have johnson as cover for either side

Re: Ben Johnson
Glad it wasn't me who thought it.

Backs up my point of needing another Left back.

What concerned me, was the way he stood off Mahrez for their 2nd, no attempt at shutting him down.

Yes but are they the best club side in the world at changing a printer cartridge?

Re: Ben Johnson
Manuel I know they're the best club side in the world but why do you keep repeating that they're the best club side in the world. We're all agreed they're the best club side in the world. No need to labour the point.

I'm very happy to see Ben Johnson in the side any time he's picked.

This thread illustrates why we have performed better without fans, there always has to be a scapegoat.
He's a kid doing a job for us at the moment leave him alone

Re: Ben Johnson
I thought this thread was about the Canadian drugs cheat, not so called WH supporters having a dig at a 19 year old who is a superb prospect! Well at least it makes a change from people having a pop at Benrahma.

Re: Ben Johnson
First half he was poor and lucky to stay on. Second half he played well. Second goal was on Rice or Fornals for not picking up Stones.

Re: Ben Johnson
Arguably THE BEST CLUB SIDE IN THE WORLD.
Outside of Europe who else ?
South American teams are packed with stroppy undisciplined wankers(Philipe the hammock Anderson springs to mind)and you can forget the rest.

Re: Ben Johnson
Ironically, "Man City are the best club side in the World" has been said much less frequently on here than "bore off", which was fresh and new ten years ago.
